Found a free pattern on the web and just added my own design, I think they turned out pretty good for a first try. All seams were hand stitched. I can not wait to purchase some wool felt and really come up with some cute designes. I think I've found a new passion along with drawing sewing. Have a wonderful rest of the week.

The fair was held at Stone Mountain Park and the weather was perfect. That was our first road trip without the spouses, thank God for GPS's. Had the pleasure of meeting a number of creative women selling in the fair. Here is a few pictures from the Country Living Fair.

Future Fashion Designer!

I had a customer request me to design a special card for one of her sorority sisters 40th Birthday. The customer would be going to New York to visit her and celebrate with three of there friends.

The customer wanted the card to be a girl with shopping bags and something that represent New York in the back ground along with the birthday girls name. My daughter Brittney is a student at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta majoring in Fashion Design so I gave her the job.

SCAD is a very expensive school and I've been talking to Brittney about doing fashion cards and portraits to make extra money to help out with purchasing her art supplies and books. Well this is the design she came up with and the customer loved in. The card is 5x7 and printed on 110 lb cardstock paper.

Bookmarkers

Worked on drawing a few bookmarkers today and wanted to share how they turned out. I'm debating on whether to add ribbon, what do you think ribbon or not? The bookmarker with the girl with the purse and earrings is for an expecting first time mom who will be reading all she can about what to expect when your expecting. I think I will add wording to the book markers. Also worked on a few more 3x3 drawings that I will frame for my shop that will be available soon.

Photo Album cover

Just wanted to share a special project I was happy to do for Kara's kindergarten teacher. I volunteer for a few hours on Wednesday so she knows that I love creating art. She gives each child a 4x6 photo album of there journey in kindergarten at the end of the school year with picture of them on field trips working on project and so fourth. This is what I decided would be really cute. I drew each child from the back carrying the little blue tote that all kindergarten carry there work in. Here's a peek at how a few turned out. Needless to say Kara teacher loved them.

3x3 miniature frame art

I'm working on creating some miniature 3x3 pieces of framed art. This was suggested to me by a women I meet at the April Art Party, which really caught my attention because I like working on a smaller scale when drawing and I also like to be detail in my drawings.

The women also told me about a miniature society where all the work is 3x3 and smaller, she told me to google it to learn more about this group of artist. I wanted to share the first 3x3 that I will be framing in a white frame. Let me know what you think.
