Future Fashion Designer!

I had a customer request me to design a special card for one of her sorority sisters 40th Birthday. The customer would be going to New York to visit her and celebrate with three of there friends.

The customer wanted the card to be a girl with shopping bags and something that represent New York in the back ground along with the birthday girls name. My daughter Brittney is a student at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta majoring in Fashion Design so I gave her the job.

SCAD is a very expensive school and I've been talking to Brittney about doing fashion cards and portraits to make extra money to help out with purchasing her art supplies and books. Well this is the design she came up with and the customer loved in. The card is 5x7 and printed on 110 lb cardstock paper.

  2. Oh I've heard lots of great things about SCAD. I hope your daughter loves her time there. I see your artistic genes have trickled down. Your daughter did an amazing job with this card. Wishing her many more! Thanks for sharing her work with us.

  3. Your daughter did an excellent job. As a fledgling fashion illustrator I admire this talent. I love how she incorporated the bridge in the background and the pose on the model. Great stuff. Check out my POSITIVELY LOVELY! fashion illustration blog and tell me what you think. I'm also on facebook. I'd be interested in what your daughter thinks if she has the time to visit.

Have a great day. And thanks for your visit.
